Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Owner Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough

James Taylor was deeply upset by the horrific experience his five pound dog JUJU went through over the weekend. Taylor said that after Jujur was bitten by a dog, the groomer taped his mouth shut. The result? A bloody, distressed dog.

Taylor said, "My pup was clearly in distress. What I thought was a muff turned out to just be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.

Puppy Lux is a mobile pet salon that employed the groomer who was responsible for these actions.

James took Juju straight to the hospital for emergency medical care. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Puppy lux of animal abuse. San Mateo’s office launched an investigation against the company due to possible animal cruelty.

James described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. These cuts were so bad that they bled."

Jack Smithr, customer of Puppy Lux posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. One customer recorded a Snapchat video of a dog that appeared to be in pain. The groomer was said to have forced a napkin inside the dog's ears.

PuppyLux wants customers to also be aware of what groomer told them, as a person they had trusted with their pets. James said, "Jonny told me that tapering the mouth shut was a normal, acceptable method. He claimed it is better than using a muzzle which, according to him, can be harmful for dogs. He also said he personally used this method on his dog."

Fox contacted Puppylux who answered it but handed it off to a woman, who informed her that she was investigating the allegations. But when Puppy was brought up, she said it was a different entity and ended the more info call abruptly.
